Safety Compliance Inspection

All electric gate systems qualify as Machinery and therefore must be compliant with gate safety legislation.

The Health and safety Executive (HSE) have issued a number of safety notices giving details of risks and method of protection needed in order to safely operate Automated gates.
The HSE requires all Electric gate installers to carry out specific Risk assessments to design out potential safety risks on new installations however the vast majority of existing installations will need to be inspected to ensure they are compliant and have the necessary safety devices fitted.

It is now a mandatory requirement for all persons responsible for Electric gates to ensure they are compliant with gate safety legislation and have a current Declaration of conformity certificate in place.
All Electric gates must have a maintenance contract in place which includes two service visits per annum including a risk assessment and force testing carried out by qualified technician.
